Welcome to Cumberland Elementary

Principal Thorpe-Page with student

Jeresther D. Thorpe-Page
Principal

Greetings to our Cumberland families and community! As a proud member of the Whites Creek learning community, Cumberland Elementary is excited to be part of the ReimaginED initiative—bringing fresh opportunities and innovative learning to our students every day.

Our students engage in high-quality instruction across English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, supported by a curriculum that encourages critical thinking and curiosity. Beyond the classroom, we offer engaging clubs for every interest—including Coding, Disney, Homework Help, Therapeutic Art, Girl Scouts, Sports, and more!

At Cumberland, we say we are “One House, Four Dens”—a school culture that empowers students to grow as leaders and community builders. Our fifth-grade scholars have leadership programs like student ambassadors, the Cumberland Bears News Team, and House Leaders.

We believe strong schools are built on strong partnerships. Family engagement is at the heart of our work, and we welcome it through Parent Coffees, Fireside Chats, and support services like Centerstone and our Advocacy Center.

Cumberland is staffed by fully certified, highly qualified educators who work together to deliver excellent instruction and create a nurturing environment where students thrive. We are proud to have a dedicated Gifted Scholars teacher, a STEM specialist, and two full-time EL teachers on staff—ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed.
